Step one: Start somewhere else. It’s kind of like someone telling your to “just eat healthier” when you are looking to improve your physical health. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it and there wouldn’t be so much talk about it. The truth, it’s not always simple and easy, and I want you to know that is okay. There is nothing wrong with you if this isn’t happening as easily as you’ve been led to think it will.
Moving your focus to something else will allow the all important time to get between you and the situation. How you spend you spend this time is what is important. Are you continuing to work towards healing in other places. There are multiple factors and steps involved in making changes to your physical health, the same applies to you emotional and mental health. Trying to take it all on at once or starting with the hardest things isn’t necessarily the most beneficial. Start somewhere easy. It’ll make the hard part easier when you get to them.
