You will know that you are choosing quiet, reflection, and greater peace, those around you may decide you are choosing to not respond. You can let them know in a word or two that you are not responding at this time. I read and hear many times that choosing to not respond is in-action, not good enough, blah, blah, blah. With so much stimuli coming at you in any given day the best way to stay present, connected, and experiencing peace is to become extremely specific in what you do and do not put energy and a response into. This one might take some practice but choosing to put most things down will increase the energy and focus you have for the things that matter most.
